JMBG unosite ručno ili se prenosi automatski iz "Šifre radnika". Sistem automatski provjerava ispravnost broja. Ako se unese već korišten JMBG ili onaj sa greškom u kontrolnom broju, prikazat će se poruka:
„U matičnom broju je greška (kontrolni broj)“
„Dužina matičnog broja nije pravilna“
„JMBG xxx se već upotrebljava kod radnika yyy“
