OTOS is a utility for automatic synchronization of databases by e-mail or file transfer. See also Transfer modes.

OTOS has two parts:

• Configuration - for settings up what to transfer in the Administration Panel,
• OTOS - the transfer utility itself

OTOS generally requires no user intervention is set up properly.

The program starts, performs the synchronization, and closes when finished. An activity log is saved for later review.

This kind of online synchronization is very cost efficient, even for dial-up connections because only local ISP rates apply, although the synchronization may involve several countries.
