General journal is most often displayed for a specific journal entry. As is the case of the report presented below where all the imnportant summary information from journal entry items are displayed. Items are displayed in the same orfer as they have been entered in journal entry. Information from different journal entries shall be sorted by date of period of journal entry, and inside this framework by journal entry ID.

If you use this type of report to display multiple general journals consecutively (for example from ID 074200002 to 0742000016 for a weekly overview of statements from bank account), then all items of different journal entries shall be displayed in this report and summed up at the end.
