In this chapter, we have prepared for you a user example of setting a new status for several animals at once.
 |
case description
The animal's owner, Eva Angus, called the veterinary clinic and told the receptionist that two of her calves had died (animal ID: SI3525415361 and SI3546162327). The receptionist will enter the information in the register, so that she will change the status of the animal. They do this by following these steps:
- Register of owners and animals
- Set animal status
|
1. Register of owners and animals
The person responsible wants to change the status of the animal.
For this purpose, the person responsible selects the menu Veterinary | Registers | Register of owners and animals.
It opens on the first entry in the register.
Opens the form Find owners and animals using the key combination CTRL + F or by clicking the button
(Search).
In the Search String field, the person responsible enters: eva.

In the lower part of the window, in the Overview section, the records of all the subject's animals are displayed. When the person responsible is in one position, the person responsible clicks on the Select button.
The Register of Owners and animals opens on the record of the selected owner.
The person responsible proceeds to choose the wizard.
2. Set the animal status
In the toolbar the person responsible clicks on the button
(Wizards).
Several functionality selection options appear.

In our example, the person responsible chooses: Set animal status.
The Animal Status window opens.

In the lower part of the window, a list of all the animals of owner Eva Angus appears.
In the Animal ID column, the person responsible looks for the IDs of the calves that died: SI3525415361 and SI3546162327. Marks the check box at each position of the record and thus selects them.
Also defines a New status. In our example, the person responsible chooses: 2-Dead.
