Transfer

If you select the Transfer option of the Wizards menu, the program will open the Transfer data between positions form through which you can automatically transfer all data of all databases from one to another position. The program will add all data of one position to another in the correct order.

The function is especially useful if you have open more than one ID for one position, hence, the overview is made more difficult. However, you cannot delete an ID that already occurs in some document in the certain database. That's why, you have to run the transfer of data first.

To transfer data from one to another position, select following data from the Positions of Employment register:

Position From	The name or the description of the position you would like to transfer (delete).
Position To	The name or the description of the position to which you would like to transfer (which you would like to keep). It is recommended that you select the ID from the lookup list with a click on the arrow button . If the ID does not yet exist in the register, the program will display an error.

The transfer procedure can be started with a click on the Transfer button. Before transferring, the program will ask for confirmation: Do you really want to transfer data?. Once, the procedure is completed, the program will report: Data transfer complete!.

With the transfer procedure from one position to another the program will also transfer data of the Knowledge/Skills, Technological Measurements, Ecological Measurements, Documentation and Protective Equipment panels.

	The transfer is an irreversible process. Once, data is transferred, it cannot be undone!
	The procedure does not delete the ID of the position from which you have transferred data. You must do that manually with a click on the Delete Record button in the taskbar.
	The position cannot be deleted if some document is linked to it! If so, the program will report an error and display in which databases the certain position exists. The delete positions is an irreversible process as well!
