Employment Record
Employment Record
The Employment Record panel
is for tracking the length of services of the employee. Take care that you enter
correct data or the program will not be able to calculate the right length of
service and leave.

You are required to enter the date of employee's
last employment in your company (it could be that an employee had already
be working in your company and you have to select the
This Employer option)! |
In the Employment Record section
you can define following fields:
No.
|
In this field you can enter the consecutive number
of the entry to the employment record. |
Length of service
|
In this field you can select from the drop-down menu the type of
length of service (at which company did the employee acquire the length
of service):
- This Employer,
- For Other Employers,
- Purchased;
- Other (while the employee was not employed, but the period still
counts to the length of service).

You can track length of service that was not purchased
as Other, and you do not want this length of service, for example, to
be included in the calculation of leave (provided you do NOT check
the Leave box in the
Employment Record table!) |
Status
|
In this field you can select from the drop-down
menu on of the following statuses:
- Employment
- This option is for tracking regular employment in you and
other company;
- Student Work
- This option is for tracking student work;
- Temporary Work
- This option is for tracking temporary work;
- Contract Work -
This contract is for tracking contract work.
You can use statuses to track different type of employment
relationships in your company.

Start
|
In the Start field
you can select from the calendar the date on which the employment was
concluded. |
End
|
In the End field you can select from the calendar
the date on which the employment was terminated. |

If you are terminating the employment to an employee
with a active credit, the program will display a notice:

You can run the notice with a click on the
OK button or cancel with a click on
the Cancel button. The
same report can be reached in Payroll
Reports.

Length of service |
In the Length of service
field, the program will calculate and enter the length of service automatically. |

The length of service is display in the following
YY-MM-DD form. This is because the original (paper) employment record
has the same form. |
|
If you will enter the length of service that is greater
than 90 years, the program will display a warning:

Leave
|
You can select this option if you would like the
program to include the length of service in the leave calculation. |
Anniversary
|
You can select this option if you would like the program to include
the length of service in the calculation of anniversaries. |
Is Used
|
You can select this option if you would like the
program to include the length of service in the calculation of the length
of service. |
Code of inc.
|
In this field you can select from the lookup list
the code of the length of service increase.
|
Incr. length of service |
In this field the program will automatically enter the value according
to data you have selected in the Code of inc.
field. |
Duration
|
In this field the program will calculate from
entered data and enter the length of service increased. |
Note
|
In this field you can enter the note, i.e. where
the employee was working before, etc. |
If you do not want to enter other data, you can enter only the length of
service.
If you will additionally enter the start and end date of employment
and these two data would not match with the entered length of service,
the program will display a warning, but will allow the entry if you
click the Cancel button.

If the date that you will enter in the End
date is lower than the date you will enter in the
Start field, the program
will report an error and will not allow you to continue with work until
you correct dates.

If you will enter the length of service that is greater than 90
years, the program will display a warning:

In calculation formulas
you refer to Length of Service in This Company and Length of Service
for Leave fields as following #DDVP# in #DDZD#! |
