Creating a plan

Using the monthly plan from customer orders, you can plan the production workflow for a given month or other time period, but not less than a week. This helps us to check that we have the capacity to make the products we order and to make sure that our products are ready to be delivered to our customers on time. The plan is also the basis for checking the material balance, which is created by termination.

In this chapter we will present how to create a monthly plan from customer orders in PANTHEON.
 |
CASE SUMMARY:
Peter The producer wants to plan production for June. The plan is based on confirmed customer orders created by the Sales department. Using the selection tool, Peter adds these orders to the plan and calculates the start date for the positions. He then creates a plan timesheet for the LARA3 product and changes the position in the timesheet. The creation process works like this:
- Opening a new plan
- Plan header entry
- Creating plan positions
- Conversion of start dates
- Creating a plan's piece plan
- Changing the position of the plan's mowing line

1. Opening a new plan
The responsible person wants to create a new plan for the month of June 2022. To open the Monthly Plan form, select Production | Plans | Monthly Plans – Orders.
2. Plan header entry
A blank form opens where, at the top of the page, in the empty field next to Number, you enter the name of the plan Plan June 2022. The Date field is automatically filled with the date the document was opened, which you can change as you wish.
In the Period from/to fields, enter the time period for which the plan is being created, in this case from 1.06.2022 to 30.06.2022. Status of the plan is Open by default until the plan is closed. In the Referent field, the user who created the plan is automatically selected, or the responsible person can select another user as the referent. Leave the other fields blank as the plan is a plan from orders from several different customers.

A plan number is automatically created when the plan is saved.
3. Creating plan positions
By selecting
(Wizard) and then in the drop-down list Create plan positions from Orders, the responsible person opens the Create Plan Positions tool. In the tool, he/she uses various criteria to find the orders he/she wants to transfer to the plan.
In the Criteria section, select Order date from/to to enter the period 01.05.2022 to 31.05.2022. To prevent the software from displaying orders that are already in the plan, in the Show orders section, select the Not in plan radio button.
In the Order document types and Order document statuses sections, select additional order selection criteria by selecting the radio buttons. Among the displayed orders, he only wants Customer orders and orders that are confirmed or already have a shipping list.

Select the Refresh Data button to view the orders.
Then, from the displayed orders, further check the data for relevance and select all orders by selecting the radio buttons in the Select column. To transfer the positions to the plan, select the Transfer button.

After the transfer, the positions from the selected orders are visible in the monthly plan.

4. Calculation of start dates
The Deadline column on each plan position shows the deadline by which the position must be completed. The deadline information is transferred to the position from the related customer order, from the Delivery date.

To recalculate the start dates of the plan positions, the responsible person right-clicks on any position and selects Calculate start dates from the list. After further confirmation, the calculation is performed and the recalculated deadlines are visible in the positions in the Beginning dates column.
 |
HINT
If you already have the start dates, you can calculate the end dates in a similar way by selecting the Calculate end dates function.
|

 |
Warning
The way the deadlines are calculated in the planning depends on the settings in the Administrator Console and the selected Methods of deadlines set on the active alternative in the base planner of each plan position. Depending on the selected method of termination, the software determines which data will be taken into account when calculating the terminations in the plan.

5. Creating the plan's roadmap
The production planning tool in PANTEHON offers the creation of a Planning Piece Plan. This allows us to edit the plan timetable at this level if necessary. After the plan has been transferred to the work tasks, the plan mowing table is also transferred. If the plan view is not specifically defined, the positions from the Basic plan view are transferred to the work tasks.
For LARA3, the person responsible wants to change the position in the assembly line. He wants to replace a semi-finished mosquito net. He selects the Plan Bin tab and selects plan position 1, ident LARA3. The plan bin is empty by default.

To create a mural, select
(Wizard) and select Copy mural from the drop-down list. The copy tool opens. Select Source of the source cutline Basic cutline, in the Ident field select LARA3 and in the Alternative field select alternative 1.
The target mowing data is filled in automatically from the plan. For Transfer method, select Overlapping Mowing Lots.

By selecting the Copy button and confirming, the copying of the piecework is done. A notification is displayed indicating that the copying of the plot is complete and the plot is visible in the plan.
6. Changing the position of the plan's mowing line
In the next step, the responsible person wants to change the material position in the assembly line. In the Plan Timetable tab, he/she selects the Material window and selects position 20, id LARA3_MATERIAL. In the Position details, in the Ident field, change the ident to the desired LARA3_MREF_G. In the position toolbar, click on the green tick to save and change the position.

When a Plan Patch is created, in the Plan Positions tab, in the KP column, the radio button is actively ticked, indicating that a Plan Patch exists for the ident from this row.
