Creating a planning document


In the Planning module of PANTHEON you can prepare a business plan for sales, purchasing, finance and payroll.
The process of creating and analysing a plan is illustrated in the example below.

CASE SUMMARY
The person responsible wishes to create a business plan for Tecta's in-house café for 2020. He wishes to include in the plan values for sales, purchases, financial indicators and wage costs. The business plan is to be described as follows:

1. Selecting and creating a new planning document
The responsible person wants to create a new planning document. To do so, he/she selects Analytics | Planning and the document type NA00 - Planning from the navigation menu.

The Scheduling window opens. Clicking on the
(Enter record) button creates a new planning document.
Enter the date of creation of the plan in the Date field and its title in the Title field.

Proceed to the Basic data entry.
2. Input of basic planning data
It defines the planning period and the planning unit with basic planning information. Of the remaining data on the tab, the responsible person shall specify only the data needed.
To do this, it selects the month as the planning unit, in the Planning unit section.
It shall set the Start of Planning as January 2020 and select December 2020 as End of Planning.

In the Planner field, enter the responsible person who planned the plan.
Confirm the newly created planning document by clicking the
(Save changes) button in the toolbar.
3. Sales planning
The Sales tabis used to plan sales or enter sales planning data.
The software automatically creates columns for entering the plan, for the period specified in the Basic data tab.
The responsible person wants to create a value plan, so from the drop-down list in the Specifications field, he selects the Value display option.

The display currency is set in the Basic data panel.

In the table above, in the Position name field, enter a description of the plan, in this case it is Sale of BAR.
To create an additional position, press the DOWN cursor key and enter the position name. He clicks on the field to enter the value for January 2020.
Opens the detail table below, where you enter the detailed planning information.

HINT
For planning based on past realisations of historical data (historical realisations), we can use Plan Generator.

Enter the monthly sales plan in the Value field. In the other fields, you can define detailed plan data such as Ident, Customer, etc.
The responsible person shall select the BAR storage used by Tecta's in-house bar.
In case you want to enter additional positions, do so by pressing DOWN.

By right-clicking on a position, you can select the Double position option.

The value of the monthly plan, shown in the detailed table below, can be seen in the main table above.
The responsible person wants to carry over the value and characteristics of the plan from the first month to all subsequent months. This is done by right-clicking on the value and using the Transfer to all subsequent periods command. If the values already exist, choose between Add or Update.

HINT
It is possible to paste data previously copied from Excel into the main or detailed planning table. In the wizard, use the Paste from excel function. In the wizard we can also find the function to transfer from purchase orders.

Values and characteristics are carried forward to all subsequent periods.

This completes the sales planning.
The responsible person proceeds to procurement planning.
4. Procurement planning
The Procurement tab is for planning procurement or entering planned procurement data.
The responsible person selects the value display and enters the position title.

Using the same steps as for sales planning, it enters the value and limits the storage for all months of the year.

Moving on to financial planning.
5. Finance Planning
Finance tab is used for financial planning or to enter planned financial data...
The person responsible wants to plan the billing of purchases at the in-house bar.
The responsible person selects the Finance tab.
Enter the position name and enter the desired formula in the formula field.

Click on the field to enter the value for January 2020.
Opens the detail table below, where you enter the detailed planning information.
Enter the planned value in the Value field and use the Cost Carrier, Department, Accountfields to constrain the location of the billing.Colour: rgb(34, 34, 34);">Colour: rgb(34, 34, 34).

The values are overwritten in the main table.
The responsible person shall right-click on the January 2020 value in the main table and use the Carry forward to all subsequent periods command to carry forward the value and attributes to all subsequent periods.

This carries forward the planning data to all months of 2020.
It goes on to pay planning.
6. Pay planning
The Ppayroll tab is used for payroll planning or entering payroll planning data. The data entry is the same as for sales or purchase planning.
The respondent wants to plan the net salary costs for an employee of the Karolino Kafe in-house bar.
To display the net salary values in the main table, select Net from the list in the Show field.

Enter Position Name in the main table.
Click on the field to enter the value for January 2020.
Opens the detail table below, where you enter the detailed planning information.
In the Net field, it enters the planned net value and in the Subject field, it selects Karolina Kafe from the Subjects code list.

The values are overwritten in the main table.
The responsible person shall right-click on the value and, using the Pass to all subsequent periods command, pass the value and properties to all subsequent periods.

This carries forward the planning data to all months of 2020.

The creation of the plan for Sales, Procurement, Finance and Payroll has been completed.
The responsible person can proceed to the Plan Analysis.
