On-Premises Installation Settings
There are different options for accessing the PANTHEON database.
The following user instructions explain different on-premises installation types for easier understanding. The instructions are divided into the following chapters:
One-User Installation

Network Installation without a Dedicated Server

Network Installation onto a Server

Remote Users with Terminal Access

On-Premises One-User Installation
With one-user installation, the software is only used by one user on a personal computer. This chapter contains detailed instructions for this type of installation.
Network Installation without a Dedicated Server
When the program has fewer users (up to five), the strongest work station in the network can be set as the data server. On this computer, the user installs the SQL server with the database and PANTHEON program package. On other computers, the user only installs the PANTHEON program package. This chapter contains detailed instructions for this type of installation.
Network Installation onto a Server
When more than five users have access to the program, one computer is set to be the data server. On this computer, the user installs the database, and only installs the PANTHEON program package on the other computers. This chapter contains detailed instructions for this type of installation.
Remote Users with Terminal Access
Installing a data server is the same as network installation on a server. The basic purpose of this solution is to simplify installation on work stations, since they only function as terminals. This chapter contains detailed instructions for this type of installation.
