Creating EM
We have two option, to entered expert models to the program:
1. Manually
In this case, we have to enter the name of EM in to Codebooks for Item. The name of EM is usually the same as the name of Product.
Important too set on Item is:
- Primary Category
- Secondary Category
- Item type
- VAT
- Primary U/M
2. Automatically through importing expert models
In program we have also functionality than allow as to import expert models in to the database. The function is in Administration panel- Settings- Farming - Agronomy - Expert model. In this case the EMs in module Expert Models are generated automatically.
Then we have also option tu copy and duplicate the versions of expert models. How it works, we can read in user manual for Navigator.

Expert model equals Item. Within search filter there is a list of all Items with determination of Primary category CROP. In order to enter new Expert model you enter it by creating new item.
Expert model could be determined as a agriculture species (BARLEY, CORN, ..) or agriculture variety ( BARLEY "REX", CORN "FANTASTIC", ..) or additional agriculture variety clones (CORN "FANTASTIC var. 145"). The level of expert model determination is an individual decision due to producers priority to follow further analysis. Naming of EM is individual decision: a proposal is that Name of EM indicates last possible naming within plant hierarchy: Species - variety- clones.
