
Deleting expired documents

For easier review and deletion of expired documents in PANTHEON DMS, you can use the Expired Documents tool in Classification Scheme.
The Expired Documents form displays all expired documents, which can be marked and then deleted with one click.

Case summary
The person responsible wants to sort and review the expired documents and then delete the documents that are no longer needed. They do this by following these steps:
- Opening the Expired Documents Form
- Sorting the documents
- Deleting the selected documents

1. Opening the Expired Documents form
The person responsible wants to review expired documents in the Expired Documents form.
To do this, person responsible selects Settings | Documentation | Classification Scheme.
A form with the company’s classification scheme opens.

In the toolbar of the form, the person responsible clicks on the
(Wizards) and selects Show expired documents from the menu.
The Expired Documents form opens.

They continue to review and sort the documents.
2. Sorting the documents
They want to review which documents are stored in the eDocumentation storage.
By clicking the top of Storage ID column, all documents that are stored in the eDocumentation storage are grouped together and shown at the top of the table.

They continue to delete the selected documents.
3. Deleting the selected documents
The person responsible marks all the documents that are stored in the eDocumentation storage, by checking the checkbox in the Marked column.
By clicking the Delete marked button, they delete all the selected documents.

After clicking on the Yes button on the confirmation message Do you want to delete the selected documents?, the documents are deleted.
