3846 Foreign currency posting! Local currency value does not match the exchange rate!

The primary data in foreign currency postings is in the posting value in currency. The local currency value is calculated indirectly via the exchange rate used!

What does this mean in practice?

We have three mutually related values: foreign_currency_value * exchange rate = equivalent_local_currency_value

• if we change the foreign currency value, local currency value is calculated again
• if we change the exchange rate used in posting, the local equivalent local currency is calculated again
• if we change the local currency value we want or rather have to change the exchange rate used to calculate to foreign currency. The program warns us in such cases: 

Solution:

1. Change the exchange rate. So that the posting is coorect the program automatically changes the exchange rate used in the calculationn.

2. Cancel. The entered change of the local currency posting is not displayed (cancelled) and so the foreign currnecy exchange rate is not calculated.
