If you in the Chart of Accounts register marked that it is required for the document number to be entered, yet in the journal entry line the data is not entered or is for no apparent reason unavailable for use in automatic posting. Then such an item is not shown and the above error occurs. 

Solution:

1. Enter the missing data to the journal entry line.

2. Uncheck the checkbox in the Chart of Accounts register.
