Salary Grades
Set gross hourly rate and salary grade for each employee.
- Set salary grades and index, that is, factor which is multiplied with the gross hourly rate. This way you come to the amount of employee's gross salary.
- In Employee Files set appropriate salary grade for each employee.
There are numerous ways how to enter gross hourly rate.
VARIANT A: Set general gross hourly rate in Average Salaries
Follow this procedure:
- In Program Parameters rename the field Factor4 to Gross Hourly Rate. Then enter gross hourly rate in Average Salaries in order to calculate gross salary amounts (You can delete data in the field.).
- Gross hourly rate for the current month is retrieved from Average Salaries.
- Customize formulas used in calculating individual work types.

Proceed in the following way:
- Modify formulas for calculating work types so that they reference index value in payroll preparation.

- Enter index valie in header of payroll preparation.
