Group owners
In a veterinary clinic, multiple people are involved in the workflow, and they may manage the same data. This increases the possibility of errors during data entry in the Owners and animals Register or the same owner is created under different codes. For the purpose of combining the same owners with different codes into one code, the Group owners functionality is available.
The functionality is located in the menu Veterinarian | Registers | Owners and Animals, by clicking the Wizards button in the toolbar.

Below, we will present an example of the possibility of merging data between two entities.

CASE SUMMARY
In the veterinary clinic, the receptionist found that the owner was entered twice in the owner's register, with different spellings of the name: Pia Domači and Pija Domači. The error occurred when entering two different animals (a ferret and a cat) for the owner, each with its own code. For this purpose, the receptionist transferred the transactions and the animal data using the functionality to correct the error with the incorrect code (Pija Domači). The procedure is carried out in the following steps:
- Searching for owner codes
- Group owners
- Transferring transactions between entities
- Displaying transfer transactions

The person responsible at the reception wants to search for owner codes in order to edit duplicate records or remove them. The detailed procedure for searching for an owner is described in the chapter Searching for an owner or animal in the register.
In our case, the person responsible enters Pet in the Search string field.
Then clicks the Search button.
The image below shows the search result with multiple codes for the same owner.

The person responsible can see that the owner is entered twice, with different codes, in the Code field, while the address is the same in both entries.

Closes the Search owners and animals window by clicking 
.
Proceeds to transfer the animal data to the correct owner code.
The person responsible now wants to remove the incorrect record: Pija Domači.
In the Owners and animals Register, the person responsible uses the navigation buttons to find the record: Pija Domači.
In the toolbar, the person responsible clicks the 
button (Wizards). From the drop-down list, the person responsible selects the option: Group owners.
The Transfer transactions between subjects window automatically opens.
The person responsible proceeds to enter data in the window.
The Subject from field in the window is automatically filled with data about the entity on which we are positioned in the Owners and animals register.
In our case: Pija Domači.
In the Subject to field, the person responsible selects the subject to which all data should be transferred.
From the drop-down list, the person responsible selects: Pia Domači.
If there are duplicate records in the register, we can select which data we want to keep using the check box:
- Source record
- Target record
The option Target record is automatically selected.
To transfer data, the person responsible clicks the Transfer button. By clicking the button, the transfer of data from one subject to another begins.
A confirmation window appears: Do you really want to transfer data?
The person responsible closes the window by clicking on the Confirm button.
When the program completes the transfer, an information window appears: Data transfer complete!
The person responsible Confirms the window.
On the record in the Owners and animals register: Pija Domači, the data on animals and transactions has been deleted or transferred to the entity Pia Domači (shown in the images below).
The data about the ferret animal was thus transferred to the correct subject code: Pia Domači.
Next, the incorrect record code: Pija Domači is deleted by clicking on the 
button (Delete record).
