Health - Pigs

The Health tab is used to keep records about an animal's state of health, diseases, preventive measures and medications.

 

Diseases and Prevention

Clicking the Add button will add a new line, whereby the new line is added above the previous disease or preventive measure.
Type

The type of entry can be:

  • Disease
  • Prevention
  • Injury
Date The date when the disease occurred or when a preventive measure has been applied.
Diagnosis/Notes The diagnosis of the disease or any notes to preventive measures.
End The date when the disease was cured or when the preventive measure was stopped.
Milk Withdrawal End The date until when milk withdrawal lasts. This date also appears in the calendar so you have an overview of withdrawal endings.
Meat Withdrawal End The date until when meat withdrawal lasts. This date also appears in the calendar so you have an overview of withdrawal endings. It affects the status only if Meat is selected as Purpose.

 

Medications

Medication Specify the medication used in the treatment. Select if from the list.
Qty Specify the dose of medication.
U/M Specify the unit of measurement for the medication dose.
Repetitions Specify the number of daily repetitions.
Treatment Until Specify until when the medications are given.
