Category Authorizations

Assign authorizations for item's primary category to prevent users from entering, viewing and changing items belonging to the category. You can assign write (broadest) or zero (narrowest) authorizations when determining the level of authorization.

To assign authorizations for categories, you first have to import categories in the Authorizations panel.

• If a user is assigned zero authorizations and "Hide Restricted Items for Categories with Limited Authorizations" option is set in Program Parameters, they cannot view or change items of this category in lines of documents and Items register.
• If a user is assigned zero authorizations but the "Hide Restricted Items for Categories with Limited Authorizations" option is not set in Program Parameters, they can only view items of this category in lines of documents and Items register. Otherwise following error is returned (for more information see You are not authorized for this operation (xxx)!).

If a user is assigned zero authorizations for "Registers", returns the following error: "You are not authorized for this operation (read)", The user has to be assigned delete authorizations (broadest) for categories.
