Paste data from Excel

Paste from Excel

One can paste data, previously copied from Excel, into main or details table of Planning.

We suggest following steps:

Main table

1. Before we prepare data, at least one line should be added  into plan; then plan should be exported to Excel.
   
   
   
    
2. We prepare/set data in Excel.
   
    
3. In Excel data (incl. headers) should be selected (see the picture); the easiest way is to use Select all (CTRL+A) and then Copy (CTRL+C).
   
   
   
    
4. In main table of Planning first line should be selected (or line from which on data should be pasted); then we use Paste from Excel in Wizards menu.
   
   
   
   
   
    
5. In confirmation window we decide whether (possible) existing data should be overwritten or not.
   
   
   
    
6. After confirmation data will be pasted.
   
   
    

Details table

1. We prepare main table with periods and lines; then we click on one of the cells to open details table.
    
2. In the header of details table right-click should be used (2 times to get the right alternate menu) and then option Export / Excel should be used in the menu.
   
   
    
3. We prepare/set data in Excel.
    
4. We use Select all (CTRL+A) and then Copy (CTRL+C), to copy all the data.
   
   
   
    
5. In Pantheon (after we selected the right details table) we use Paste from Excel into Details in Wizards menu.
   
   
   
    
6. In confirmation window we decide whether to overwrite existing data or to add new data beside existing.
   
   
   
    
7. After confirmation data will be pasted.
