Workstation Setup

Previous step: OLAP Authorizations

The following components must be installed on the computers that will act as workstations:

1. Office Web Components (OWC)

Microsoft Office Web Components (OWC) must be installed on PANTHEON clients for pivot tables to work correctly. The executable setup file (owc10.exe) can be downloaded from:

In some cases the pivot chart cannot be exported as an image. The problem is caused by an incorrect version of the OWC10.dll file. It is usually located in the folder "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Components\10". The version has to be 10.0.6619.0. The export function does not work with newer versions. It is required you change the file. This version comes with Office XP Service Pack 3. More information at: http://office.microsoft.com/en-ca/assistance/ha011525351033.aspx

2. Microsoft Core XML Services (MSXML) 6.0 Service Pack 1

ZEUS Analyses, Reports, and Dasboard components of the type OLAP Analyses require the latest patch for Microsoft Core XML Services (MSXML) 6.0 (prerequisite for OLE DB Provider) to be installed on the work station. It can be found here:

3. Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services 9.0 OLE DB Provider , or Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Analysis Services 10.0 OLE DB Provider

Using Analysis Services 2005

ZEUS Analyses, Reports, and Dasboard components of the type OLAP Analyses require Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services 9.0 OLE DB Provider (for XMLA support) to be installed on the workstation. It can be found here:

Using Analysis Services 2008

ZEUS Analyses, Reports, and Dasboard components of the type OLAP Analyses require Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Analysis Services 10.0 OLE DB Provider (for XMLA support) to be installed on the workstation. It can be found here:
