Auto-Assign Serial Numbers

Auto-assigning Serial Numbers

Check Auto-Assign S/N in Document Types | Goods | Issue. You can check it for issues in Goods and Customs Warehouse modules.

Unlike manually selecting serial numbers on-the-fly (see for example assigning unique serial numbers or assigning batch numbers), the corresponding quantity of serial numbers is relieved from inventory.

Click the Serial No. button in taskbar to change or view serial numbers.

 

Trying to auto-assign more serial numbers than are available, the operation fails and the following error is returned (for more information see Cannot automatically issue serial numbers! Entered quantity: XXX Actual quantity: YYY Difference: XXX-YYY).
