Editing Specifications for Documents

WARNING

The change of the specification in the sales order line does not change the original specification in the items register!

You can edit specifications through the Spec function in the sales order lines in the same way as in the items register.

Order Spec has some extra buttons:

Level +1 If in the line of the order spec is a compound item (child item with its own spec), you can open the spec of the compound line with a click on the Level+1 button. Through this function you can edit multilevel specs from the order. You edit multilevel specs in the same way as simple specs.
Option If you click on the Option button, the program will open a window where you can create additional payment option, you can enter to the customer alternative items you offer to this customer against additional payment. For a more detailed information of the procedure see chapter Option
Inventory If you click on the Inventory button, the program will open a window to see available stock.
Spec/1 When you open the Order Spec form, the Spec/1 button will not be activated (activated is the Spec/Order button - see description in the next field). The function is useful only, if a spec is created for the quantity that is greater than 1 (spec - batch). If you use this function, the program will calculate quantities of compound items back to the original quantity of the end product as it is entered at the first opening of the Order Spec form (for more information on data in the spec see Specification). When calculating values for one product you can define in program parameters whether the calculated value should round up or not - for more information see Specification value rounding checkbox.

After you click on the Spec/1 button, the button will become deactivated and its inverse function (Spec/Order button) activated. Meaning, the quantities are calculated to the correct base.

Note: When spec of the second and following levels, these two buttons will activate and deactivate according to the selected button of first level!

Spec/Order Calculation according to quantities in the sales order. The Spec/Order is the inverse function to the Spec/1 function and and will calculate the quantities of compound components to the quantity of the end product that was entered in the order. The function is useful for batch specs, because it enables the user to adjust the use of child items (according to the product spec) to the use when manufacturing greater amounts of products (economies of scale, etc.).

This function (button) will deactivate, after you click on the Spec/Order button. You reactivate the button so you select its inverse function (you click on the Spec/1 button).

Note: When specs of the second and following levels, these two buttons will activate and deactivate according to the selected button of first level!

Delete 0's If you click on the Delete 0's button, the program will delete all lines of the spec with the 0 quantity. Before the completion of the procedure the program asks for confirmation (see Do you really want to delete lines with quantity zero?).
