Subject finder 

       

In Subject finder we find settings for display fields, search fields and other setting for Subject field on POS documents.

The Subject finder settings can be accessed on POS documents from the menu POS Settings | Subject finder.

1. Display fields

In selection of fields is chosen which are supposed to be seen in customer field dropdown menu, how wide the columns should be and if they are mandatory.

 (checkbox) Use checkbox to select displayed fields. 
Field width Set field’s width by adjusting width numbers.
Mandatory fields (checkbox)

In case any field is set as mandatory then the program will not allow to save changes unles all the mandatory fields are filled in.

Use checkbox to select mandatory fields.

2. Search fields

Parameters by which program searches subjects. Search options are set for each parameter.

 (checkbox) Use checkbox you select search fields.
Search mode

For dropdown menu search mode is set for each parameter.

  • ​Partial hits: program will search subjects by partial entry
  • Search from the left: program will search subjects form the entry starting from the left side
  • Only exact hits: subjects will be found by exact entry of each parameter
Priority

Priority which parameter should be considered of search.

Priority is set with sequence numbers from dropdown menu.

 

3. Other

Other subject finder settings.

Find only active customers (checkbox) Checkbox is selected if search should be done only among subjects which are Active - in Subject settings switch Active is set ON.
Automatically recalculate prices on subject change. Don’t ask for confirmation.

If checkbox is selected program automatically recalculate prices when the subject is changed on the document base on Items register.

Confirmation of price change is not required.
Search result count

Number of displayed subject shown in search dropdown menu.

Set in dropdown menu (1-20).
Search delay (ms) Settings for milliseconds of delay search can have.
Min. number of search characters Minimum number of search characters that have to be entered in search field in order for program to start searching for subject.
