Using the Renumber Lines function, you can change the sequential numbers of lines in a document as needed:

The program will show the number of the document in which you will be renumbering lines. In the left section of the window, a list of lines as they are currently numbered in the document will appear. In the right section of the window, you'll find a list of lines as you've renumbered them here.

FUNCTIONS - use the function buttons to perform the following operations:

	This button will move the currently selected line from the left section of the window to the right section and will assign it the first available line number. Double-clicking a line in the left section of the window will also perform this function.
	This button will move all lines from the left section of the window to the right section and will assign them line numbers in ascending order and in the same order that they appear in the left section. Using this function you can arrange the lines in the left section of the window (by item ID, for example), and then click this button to transfer them to the right section.
	You can also arrange lines as needed (sorting by clicking on the column header) in the left section of the window and use the button to transfer the rearranged lines to the right section.
	This button will move the currently selected line from the right section of the window back to the left section. In the left section, it will be reassigned the same line number that it has in the document. Double-clicking a line in the right section of the window will also perform this function.
	This button will move all lines from the right section of the window back to the left section. It will restore the original numbering from the document.

The document lines as they will be numbered once you confirm the renumbering. The lines in this section of the window are numbered in ascending order (1,2,3).
