Serial Number History

Serial number history provides insight into the movement of serial numbers within the business system.

We can see how items tracked by serial numbers move between suppliers, warehouses, manufacturing, and customers. The normal path for an item is from the supplier to the warehouse, transfers between warehouses, and issue from the warehouse to the customer.

If an item is part of a compound item, this report will also show which item the item is a component of. You can also see which serial numbers were returned for servicing and how the customer claim was resolved.

The serialization of items leaves a trail that can be easily read by the program.

 When choosing report 14Q, another criteria is available:

-Valid from/to: report can be set with valid dates of serial numbers

-Document Type:  report can be set with three options -> 1. Issued documents, 2. Received documents and 3. Issued and received documents
