With the Search by Name option you can set the lookup list or table that will open when you click on the Name field in a document.

Select Statement A default statement that can be selected, i.e. select. select acName, acIdent, anRTPrice, acActive, acSetOfItem from vHE_SetItem ORDER BY acName. You can use only one table!

(Refresh Fields)  		If you add a new field to the select statement, click this button and the program will refresh data of the lookup table in the Field section.

Enter in the Search Fields table as many rows as you would like columns to appear in the lookup list or table.

Line  
Field Name of the field as defined by the select statement. You can select the name from the lookup list:

This information is mandatory (for more information see Field name must be defined!).
Length
 The length of the field as you would like to have for the table.

Format  
Name
 Name that should appear in the title bar of the lookup list or table.

000001.gif If you delete all lines in the Search Fields table, the program use the predefined search table.
000001.gif If you have determined settings that enable you to select external IDs and enter items data with a scanner, the program will not open the lookup table automatically. You will have to click on the arrow first.

Settings to open the lookup table automatically, when you start to enter the item:

  • Enter 0 (used for the scanner) in the Item ID Length field of the Administration Panel | Settings | Program Parameters | Items | General | General;
  • Database: in Read External ID and Show External ID fields of the Administration Panel | Settings | Program Parameters | Items | General | General select Do not use external IDs, and
  • For an individual user: if you have selected Do not use external IDs in the Read External IDs and Show External IDs fields of the Administration Panel | User Groups | User - general | Users | Personal settings |  |Other settings.
