Inventory Revaluation
Inventory Revaluation
Inventory Revaluation

 |
According to Slovenian Accounting Standards 2002, the here
described inventory revaluation is not in use anymore! |
 |
Before starting the inventory revaluation
calculation, firs make
sure that there is no negative stock on the warehouse card in the year for which
the revaluation is being calculated. In opposite case the calculation will not
be correct.
|
 |
It is suggested that you run the procedure of refreshed calculation
of average prices before the revaluation of stock (see
Refresh stock )!
|
 |
After the document for revaluation of stock has been created,
MANDATORY complete the material period on last day of the fiscal year (see
Parameters - Goods - Basic data ).
|
The companies that control the inventory by average price, have to revaluate
the stock at the end of the year.
The stock is revaluated by two criteria:
- items that had the purchase in last three months are revaluated on
last purchase price,
- items that did not have the purchase in last three months are being
revaluated with revaluation index (factor).
Revaluation is created with a special document of receiving in the material
records in which you record every item with amount 0, which is the difference
between:
- warehouse value on day when the revaluation is being made and
- value acquired on basis of one of previously stated criteria.
Presentation:
The value of stock revaluation = stock on day of revaluation * (revaluated price
- price for valuation on day of revaluation)

Document types
| Check the types of documents of purchase,
which the program will consider with the search for the last purchase price
(record types of documents are not on the
list). | Item | The report can be limited to a certain ID of the item.
| Category | The report can be limited to a certain
category of items.
| Start date |
Starting date of the
period, from and including which the revaluation of stock is being
calculated. This is the fist day of the fiscal year.
| Limit date |
Enter the date UNTIL and including which the stock is revalued with the
use of coefficient. This is the last day of the third quarter(of the
year). The items which have been purchased AFTER that date are
revaluated with the use of last purchase price.
| Final date |
Final date of the period,
until which the revaluation of stock is being calculated. This is the
last day of the fiscal year. |
 |
The starting date, limit date and final date is the mandatory
data for the calculation. If any of the se data is not being entered, the
program will respond with an error note (see Starting,
limit and final date have to be entered!). |
Item types |
Check the types of items, for which the revaluation has been calculated.
By default the items of types S and U
are excluded.
| Warehouses
| Check the warehouses on which the revaluation
should take place.
Revaluation is usually calculated for all relevant warehouses at once,
because the revaluations by individual warehouses do not give same
results!
Revaluation of stock is usually not needed on the customs warehouse! |
Creating the goods movements
| Select:
- type of document of internal receiving. It has to be marked with the
possibility of value posting, entering of the purchase price should be
"Price entry" (predefined 1R0 - Revaluation of
stock ).
- date for the document of receiving (usually on December 31. of the
year you are closing)
- clerk, who will be signed on the document of receiving.
|
Panel for entry of factors
Enter the cumulative revaluation coefficient in this panel from the
beginning of the year until individual months as published by the
Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia
and the first day of the month, for which it is valid.
 |
It is suggested to run the renewed calculation of the average
prices with the limit of date to day before the revaluation, after the
revaluation has been made already! If the revaluation of stock has
been calculated for example on December 31, 1999, run the renewed calculation of
average prices for new fiscal year and new purchase with the "Date from" January
1, 2000. |
