When using the setting for multiple active alternates set it in Active. Alt. Sublevel field that can be found in the specification main section in the General panel. Since active alternate is related to a line in specification you can enter different active alternates sublevels for product alternates and thus set dismantling for specification.

Let us use the same specification as in the previous example.

Below you can see how we set active alternate 0 for semi-finished product with ID SEMI-PRODUCTMF01. That is why it will be dismantled by alternate 0 and not by the one set in the specification main section.

Next you can see how we set active alternate 5 for semi-finished product with ID SEMI-PRODUCTMF01. That is why it will be dismantled according to alternate 5 and not by the one otherwise set as active in specification main section and neither by 0 as set in the example above.

Having set alternates in this way the entire product structure of PRODUCTMF1101 depends on its active alternate which is set in main section of specification or anywhere else you can set alternates.
