Editing contact information

The header in the section General is used to display the main information about the employee. The feature Change contact information allows you to enter and edit the employee's contact data, i.e. residence, phone, email address and other data. It also allows you to keep track of the employee's (previous) home addresses.
This chapter shows how to search for edit the contact information of an employee.

CASE SUMMARY
The person responsible wants to edit contact information for the new employee, Calvin Clerk. The instructions for creating this new employee can be found in the chapter Creating a new employee. To edit the contact information, the person responsible does as follows:
- Opening the window Employee list window
- Opening employee's General data
- Editing employee's contact information

1. Opening the window Employee list window
The person responsible wants to edit the contact information of the new employee.
To do this, the person responsible selects the module Personnel and the submodule Employees from the main menu.
This opens the window Employee list.

2. Opening employee's General data
In the field Search in the header of the Employee list, the person responsible enters "Calvin Clerk".

Clicking the Code, i.e. the short name of the employee, usually the first and last name, opens the window for editing employee data.
The window opens on the tab General.

The person responsible can now edit the employee's contact information.
3. Editing employee's contact information
In the header of the window next to the employee's image, the person responsible clicks the option Change contact information.

Clicking the option opens a new window where the person responsible can enter the following details:
- Contact
- Residence
- Contact information
If the employee is employed at the subject that is entered in the Subjects register, the person responsible can select the relevant company in the field Contact.
Next, the person responsible enters the employee's residence details.
3.1. Editing residence data
In the section Residence, the person responsible enters the current permanent or temporary residence of the employee.

WARNING
Only one residence can be active at a time. Only active residences are shown in the employee's General data.

In the field Start, the person responsible enters the date on which the person started working for the company: 16.05.2022.
In the field Address, the person responsible enters the employee's permanent address: 19 Trubarjeva cesta, 1000 Ljubljana.
The fields Post and Country are automatically populated when the address is entered.

Finally, the person responsible enters the employee's contact information.
3.1. Editing contact information
From the drop-down list, the person responsible selects the Type of contact: (mobile) phone number, primary email address, (private) website, Skype, emergency phone number.
In this case, the person responsible selects 4 - Home phone no. and enters it in the field Contact data: 01-2382627.

The data is saved by clicking the button Save.
