Zapiranje proizvodnega obdobja nam ob zaključku določenega obdobja (na primer konec leta) omogoči enostavno zaprtje delovnih nalogov in kreiranje novih le za preostale (neizdelane) količine. Tako prerpečimo kasnejše posege v podatke iz preteklega obdobja.
