Identi u svojim osnovnim podacima imaju knjigovodstvenu vrstu.
Sama definicija knjigovodstvene vrste određuje, osim naziv i šifre, i tip.
Samo tipovi C, P, U, G i H su tipovi idenata koji mogu imati sastavnice, a ti su tipovi dodijeljeni pojedinoj knjigovodstvenoj vrsti i dodjelom knjigovodstvene vrste identu odmah se definira može li ident imati sastavnicu.
