Assigning PANTHEON Granules to users with PANTHEON Cloud subscription

This chapter describes the process of assigning PANTHEON Granules to the users with a PANTHEON Cloud subscription.
The person responsible (usually administrator) who has successfully activated PANTHEON Granules can now assign them to users. Only as many PANTHEON Granules as have been activated can be assigned to users.
PANTHEON Granules are linked to a named user, which means that each PANTHEON Granule must be linked to a specific employee in the company.
 |
WARNING
PANTHEON Granules are additional services that can be accessed if your company has already been using one of the PANTHEON Web licenses.
|
This chapter provides an example of a basic assignment of PANTHEON Granules to the users with a PANTHEON Cloud subscription.

CASE SUMMARY
The company Tecta Ltd. wants to enable its employees to use some of the functionalities of PANTHEON Web. Because they are looking for a solution that is easy to use and cost-effective, they choose to use PANTHEON Granules. After the activation of PANTHEON Granules, the person responsible assigns them to the users, i.e. Tecta's employees. This is done as follows:
- Logging in to the PANTHEON UserSite
- Adding users
- Assigning PANTHEON Granules to users
|
1. Logging in to the PANTHEON UserSite
To assign PANTHEON Granules to users, the person responsible first needs to log in and access the PANTHEON UserSite.
Available PANTHEON Granules that can be assigned to users are listed at the bottom of the page in the section Assign granules.
In this case, the person responsible can assign the following Granules:
1 Granule Work records (0/1)

2. Adding users
From the PANTHEON Cloud database EU_TECTA_01, the person responsible wants to add a user who will use the Granule Work records.
The person responsible clicks the button Add user.

The window Add user opens.
The person responsible selects the relevant database from the drop-down list of the field Company (database name), in this case: EU_TECTA_01.
 |
HINT
The PANTHEON Cloud databases are automatically displayed in the list.
|

The users from the database are displayed.
By checking the relevant checkbox in the column Add user, the person responsible selects the user to whom the PANTHEON Granule will be assigned.
 |
WARNING
PANTHEON Cloud administrators are not displayed on the list for assigning PANTHEON Granules, because if a PANTHEON Granule were assigned to an administrator, the administrator would lose their access to the PANTHEON Web license.
|

The selected user is transferred to the list for assigning PANTHEON Granules.

The person responsible then assigns the activated PANTHEON Granule to the user.
3. Assigning PANTHEON Granules to users
The person responsible wants PANTHEON Granules .
The person responsible wants to assign the PANTHEON Granule to the relevant user who will need them to perform their work.
The person responsible assigns the PANTHEON Granule Work records to the user John Worker.
 |
WARNING
If any PANTHEON Granule is assigned to a user that has already been using a PANTHEON Web license, such a user will lose access to that PANTHEON Web license and will only be able to access the functionality of that particular PANTHEON Granule. For this reason, administrators are not displayed in the list.
|

 |
HINT
If a PANTHEON Granule has already been assigned to user A and you want to assign it to user B, you first need to unassign it from user A and then assign it to user B.
|
The PANTHEON Granule has been successfully assigned to the user.
The table shows that all active PANTHEON Granules (1/1) have been assigned.

 |
WARNING
Before you start using PANTHEON Granules, their license must be refreshed by the administrator in PANTHEON Web.
For instructions on how to refresh PANTHEON Granules and start using them, see the chapter First use of PANTHEON Granules.
