Navigation buttons

Navigation buttons

Navigation buttons are located on each PANTHEON form. They can be found at the top or at the beginning of the program window.

The Navigation button row of a single form consists of up to ten elements with the following functions:

Undo changes – undoes the operation that was last performed.

Delete record – deletes the currently selected record.

First record – clicking this button takes us to the first record in the database (e.g., to the first order, invoice, etc.).

The button is not active (dimmed) when the cursor is already positioned at the start of the database.

32716.png

Previous record – jumps to the previous record in the database (if order 5 is currently displayed, this button takes us to order 4).

The button isnot active (dimmed) when the cursor is positioned at the start of the database and a previous record does not exist.

Search – clicking the (three dots) icon opens a special search table (search window), which allows js to search among the existing records in the database. Usually, more than one search criteria can be selected.

  • For entering registers, invoices, etc., see the descriptions of the individual windows.

  • On windows where the use of the function does not make sense (e.g., short and simple registers), the search table is not available.

Save – the record is saved automatically when we navigate (using the navigation buttons) to a new record. The button is only active if the record has been entered or modified and has not yet been saved.

32718.png

Next record – jumps to the next record (e.g. from order number 5 to order number 6).

The button is inactive (dimmed) when the cursor is positioned at the end of the database and the next record does not exist.

32719.png

Last record – clicking this button takes us to the last record in the database (e.g., the last order).

The button is not active (dimmed) when the cursor is already positioned at the end of the database.

Insert record – inserts a new, empty record at the end of the database and moves us to it.

006442.gif

Copy record – copies an existing record to a new one. It is recognisable by the fact that the ID of this record is the same as the original ID (i.e., the one we copied), but with a new final character added – a question mark.

When copying document types, the program also offers to copy some other settings. Select the desired fields and click Copy, to transfer them to a new document type.

Example:

WARNING
  1. On forms where the use of each of the above mentioned elements is not meaningful, they will not be available on that form.
  2. Before copying a record, the document must be saved by clicking the 32717.png (Save) button, to ensure that the data on the original (or on the copy) is not lost.
  3. For each new entry in the tables (including the first one) the 000309.gif (Add record) icon must be selected.
