Animal and owner data

Veterinarians often transcribe the data they collect about owners and animals onto various forms or animal record books. The PANTHEON VET program allows easy and quick printing of labels with the required data.

In this chapter, we will present an example of printing a label with information about the animal and the owner. The functionality is located in the menu Veterinarian | Registers | Owners and animals.

HINT

For more detailed information about the program forms, please read the Print label chapter in the Guide for PANTHEON VET.

CASE SUMMARY

The owner of the dog Poppy brought a litter of puppies to the veterinary clinic, who will be microchipped and issued identification documents. The animal document must include information about the owner and the animal for which the document is being issued. For this purpose, the receptionist will print a label with the data and thus speed up their work. They will carry out the procedure with the following steps:

  1. Searching/entering owner data
  2. Entering animal data
  3. Selecting animals
  4. Printing label with animal and owner data

1. Searching/entering owner data

The person responsible at the veterinary clinic first checks the data on the owner and the dog (the mother of the litter of puppies).

The detailed search procedure is described in the Search chapter.

HINT

If the owner is not yet registered in the PANTEHON VET program, we first register him. The detailed procedure is described in the chapter Owner entry.

2. Entering animal data

The person responsible starts by entering data about the puppies.

The detailed procedure for entering animals is described in the chapter Animal entry or Dog entry.

HINT

To enter data about puppies from the same litter quicker, you can use the functionality that copies the data for you. Then correct the data in the fields where they differ. The detailed procedure is described in the chapter Copy.

3. Selecting animals

Once all puppies have been entered into the PANTHEON VET program, the person responsible marks for which animals they want to print data on the label.

  • In the Animal Overview the person responsible marks the animals for which they want to print a label.
  • This is done by holding down the Ctrl key on the keyboard and clicking on the codes of the desired animals in the Animal overview list.

4. Printing label with animal and owner data

The person responsible will print labels for the selected animals, which they can paste into the individual dog's document.

  • The person responsible clicks on the Print label button.
  • They select the Animal and owner data option.

  • A new window opens where they can specify Label settings.
  • In our case, the person responsible continues by clicking on the OK button.

  • A new window opens, preview: 6YA - Animal passport printout - animal.
  • The print preview of the label shows the owner and animal information for each individual dog that the person responsible has selected from the list.
  • The person responsible clicks on the Print button.
