The Plan Generator tool is intended for planning using the automatic planning
on the basis of previously used data (past results).
You can open it by clicking it in the Wizards menu.

The status bar tells you for which line (ID, name) and for which period do you
want to generate the plan.


The plan generator provides the following:
- select the members of specific dimensions (paremeters), whose past
results you want to use as the plan basis (customers, items,
departments...). Here you can consider all the documents including
those which are empty, or only those document pertaining to the members (Include All, Even if Empty).
Furthermore, you can decide whether you want to distribute the plan by
specific parameter (separately by each memeber), or do you want only one
record for all members (select the Combined
option);
- select the referential (source) year from which data will
be drawn;
- mark whether you want to distribute the plan by currencies as evident in
the source data or whether you want to recalculate it to the primary
currency (select the All in Primary Currency
option) the option is disabled if you checked in the
General
panel the
Planning in Primary Currency Only
checkbox);
- enter or change the Quantity as well as the Value
factor, by which you can change the base value. Example: A factor of 1.2 would
mean that your plan represents 120% of the base results or that it will be
20% greater than the results in the selected period;
- by clicking the Generate
button you perform planning automatically.
Prior to this you need to decide whether you want to perform automatic
planning for the selected line and period or whether you want to do this for
the selected line and all periods or for all lines and all periods;

You can add data to the details table by using the plan
generator.
If generating the plan twice, duplicated records
can thus occur in the detailed table. |
