Force TLS 1.2

Force only TLS 1.2 for secure socket communication.  Pantheon also supports TLS 1.2 in email comunicationPantheon supports older SSL, TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 protocols which are needed for clients that are still on older mail servers without support for newer TLS 1.2. Majority of servers will select best common supported protocol.

Some servers disallow client support for older protocolsIn that case, it is required to force only newer TLS 1.2 protocol to support email communication via those serversChecking this option, Pantheon will announce support only for TLS 1.2 in secure communication layer. Selecting this option will make connection most secure and the connestion process will be fastest possible.

EHLO

Extended HELO is an Extended Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (ESMTP) command sent by an email server to identify itself when connecting to another email server to start the process of sending an email. It is followed with the sending email server's domain name. The EHLO command tells the receiving server it supports extensions compatible with ESMTP.

Example of settings for sending email with Office 365 accout:

000001.gif You must use the HTTP protocol if you are using a proxy server, because the FTP protocol does not work when behind a proxy.
