Document links

The Links tab enables the addition of links and overview of linked documents in PANTHEON.

To access the Links, go to the Documents form or the Documentation | Links panel on all forms in PANTHEON.

This way, you can access, for example, all linked documents from the business address in the Subjects register, such as cooperation agreement, past issued invoices, and all other documentation. If, for example, you wish to see a specific invoice in detail, the Links tab offers a Link key to the product module of the program.

This chapter presents how to add links, review links and open links via keys.

CASE SUMMARY

The customer Marc Camper rented a tent from the Tecta company. When taking over the tent, the person responsible created a delivery note and proposed that a rewards card form be filled in by the customer, to obtain additional discounts on future rentals. The person responsible wants to link the completed form with the delivery note document and, if needed, later access the document via link. This is done as follows:

  1. Adding link
  2. Review and open document links

1. Adding link

With the help of Search in Documentation, the person responsible finds and selects the rewards card document: 23-DMS0-000024. The person responsible links the latter to the delivery note.

The link is created as follows: first, the person responsible clicks the Links tab.

Into the Link search field, the person responsible enters the number of the delivery note that is going to be be linked with the document. In this case, the person responsible enters: 23-3510-000001.

The drop-down list displays the desired document, which the person responsible confirms, or selects by clicking.

To add a link, the person responsible clicks the (Add link) button.

The selected document is linked with the delivery note document.

HINT

Any number of links can be added to a document.

2. Review and open document links

The list of documents from PANTHEON that are linked to the selected document in Documentation is now visible on the Links tab of the selected document.

In this case, the person responsible sees the link to the delivery note.

By double-clicking the Link key field, the linked document is opened.

HINT

In case you want to delete the created link, click the link line and press the following keys on your keyboard: Ctrl + Delete.

A confirmation form appears: "Do you want to delete this link?".

To confirm, click the Yes button.

Warning

To import documents into Documentation and add links to documents, as presented in the case, the eDocumentation service must be activated.
