Showing your desktop to a supporter

Users can show their desktop to a supporter. This way, the supporter can very effectively demonstrate how to solve the problem.

WARNING

The supporter cannot look at your computer desktop without your approval.

In order for him to be able to do anything on your computer, you need to give him special permission.

By keeping an eye on what the supporter is doing on your screen at all times, you not only learn the solution, but you also monitor their work.

Table of contents

  1. A supporter asks for access to the user's desktop
  2. Enabling supporter control
  3. Disconnecting

1. The supporter requests access to the user's desktop

Supporter User

The supporter clicked on the Show button to ask the user for access to his/her desktop.

The user was prompted if he/she allowed the desktop to be shown to a supporter. To allow the display, click Yes or refuse by clicking No.

Once a supporter has a view of your desktop, you can show them exactly where the problem lies.

2. Enabling supporter control

Supporter User
The support engineer can display the solution on your computer. To do this, you need to give them control - sharing your keyboard and mouse. Press the F12 key to allow the supporter to work on your computer. As long as he or she is working, the Remote Support box will be red, alerting you that someone else may be using your computer.

3. Disconnecting

You can disconnect at any time by clicking the Disconnect or Cancel button.
After suspension or closure, your desktop can no longer be displayed to the supporter, nor can you use your computer.

WARNING

After the session is over, no viruses or active programs will remain on your computer that could compromise its security.
