Setting on Department - Payroll

PANTHEON enables the calculation of numerous ways of calculating payrolls. One of them is definition of parameters in relation to the Department.

Basic data needed for payroll calculation are set in the Administration Panel | Settings | Personnel | Payroll.

Warning

The appearance of panel Department depends on the parameter Salary Settings by Department, set in Administration Panel | Settings | Personnel | Payroll. If it is enabled, the Department section can be seen.

In this this chapter of the User manual, we will present how to define data for payroll to be calculated by Department.

Case summary

The person responsible wants to define specific Salary Compensations for the Manufacturing department. The reason for doing this is because for the Manufacturing department, company has different formula for calculating minimum salary. This is done as follows:

  1. Opening the tab Salary Compensations
  2. Defining department
  3. Defining formula for calculating minimum Salary for the Manufacturing department

1. Opening the tab Salary Compensations

The Person responsible selects the Settings module from the menu and opens the Program | Administration Panel | Settings | Personnel | Payroll. The General panel appears on the screen.

Next step is choosing the tab Salary Compensations, presented in the image below:

2. Defining department

To define the department, the person responsible does as follows:

  • Department: Selects Manufacturing

  • Filter: After selecting the department, the person responsible clicks the Filter button to refresh the screen data. The bottom part of the panel now displays the Manufacturing department.

3. Defining formula for calculating minimum Salary for the Manufacturing department

To define the formula for calculating minimum Salary for the Manufacturing department, the person responsible does following:

  • Minimum Salary (Coll.Agr) and Minimum Salary (Ind.Agr) : he/she enters the new calculating formula:

            #Fa4#*1.46*#PRUre#/#Fa3#

Warning

If you determine the formula for the department, the program will use it in the calculation of payroll compensation regardless to other settings!.

Hint

For instructions how to create Payroll formulas, see chapter Formula builder in the Tech Guide for PANTHEON
