
Missing/Redundant Indexes

The Missing/Redundant Indexes panel allows seraching, creating missing indices and and preview redundant indexes.

HINT
Redundant means superfluous or unnecessary. In the context of computing and databases, it often refers to data or components that are duplicated or unnecessary because there are other data or components that provide the same functionality or information. Redundancy can be used to improve system reliability, as duplicate components can serve as backups in case of failure.

The functionality is accessed on Performance panel in Administration panel.

The following is a description of the functionality of the form.

By clicking, the following options are available:
- Collapse All - collapse whole fragmentation table.
- Expand All - expand whole fragmentation table.
- Collapse Selected - collapse only selected indices in fragmentation table.
- Expand Selected - expand only selected indices in fragmentation table.
- Collapse All for Selection - ??
- Expand All for Selection - ??
- Select All - select all indices in fragmentation table.
- Undo Merge - restore to the original state before merging.

By clicking, all indexes that are missing or redundant, will be collected. |
