Input of material


To enter material positions in the Basic Purchase Order, use the dedicated Materials tab. In the positions you can enter the idents that you have defined as material or product/item.

The sequence of entry of material positions and work operations is very important when entering piecework positions. Read more in Position and operation sequences.

In the following, we will use an example to show how to enter material positions.

CASE SUMMARY
Peter Producer will add the already added LARA3_VRATA position in the Material tab of the LARA3 id to the LARA3 timesheet and define the waste data. He will then add a new material position KLIN. This is done following this procedure:
- Opening the Material tab
- Inserting a new material position
- Regularisation of existing material positions

1. Open the Material tab
The responsible person selects the Add material positions Material tab in the edit basic cutlines Basic cutlines for identLARA3, which we created in the example Kedit basic cutlines.
2. Inserting a new material position
The Position details subform has, like the other forms, its own customised command bar.
Selecting the
button (Enter record) will open a new position and the empty fields for entry of material position data.
In the Ident field, the responsible person shall select the KLIN ident from the drop-down list.
In the Quantity field, enter the number 8.
Save the position data by clicking on the
button (Save Changes). After saving, the material position is visible in the table in the Material and Carriage tabs.

3. Cleaning up existing material positions
You can also edit positions in the Material tab. When you select a position, the basic data of the material position is displayed in the lower part of the form.
It wishes to reposition the KLIN material and change the quantity required to 10 pieces.
In the table, click on position 30 - CLIN.
Enter a new value of 10 in the Quantity field and edit other position data if necessary.
Click on the
button (Save Changes) to save the new position data.
