Date fields

Date fields

A special type of alphanumeric input fields are date fields. In the date field, dates are entered as a two-digit day, a two-digit month and a four-digit year.

Table of contents

  1. Date field entry
  2. Optional table - calendar

1. Date field entry

You can enter the desired date directly in the date fields. Dates are entered without punctuation and are written and displayed with punctuation. The character representing the punctuation mark will be taken from the Windows environment settings.

HINT

Only part of the date can be entered in the date fields, the rest is filled in by the software. The date is always automatically filled in for the current month and year.

  • EXAMPLE: In May 2022, if the user enters the number 6 in the date field and presses the Enter key, the date will automatically be updated to 06.05.2022.

2. Optional table - calendar

In the software, date fields appear as a special type of picker table - a calendar.

Select the desired date from the calendar using the mouse or by using the cursor keys and confirm the selection with Enter.

In the left part of the selection table, you will find (for information) the current week number of the year.

You can scroll through the date fields by clicking on the icon, which moves you back one month, or the icon, which moves you forward one month. The same applies to the year selection.

Selecting the Today button in the calendar selects the current date.

Selecting the Delete button deletes the data in the date field.

You can also select the desired month by left-clicking and holding the name of the currently selected month. The selection table opens, hover over the desired month and release. The selected month will appear in the calendar.
