Split by Distribution Key

Distribution using the distribution key.

It splits (i.e. distributes) the journal entry line by individual departments according to the previously created distribution key.

Example: vYou received an invoice for renting business premises from the supplier. Then post the invoice and split the costs by departments. Let us say between Department 1 and Department 2 in the 40:60 ratio. Enter the distribution key in the Distribution Keys register.

To distribute a line you have to select it. Proceed by selecting Split by Distribution Key in the wizards menu.

Select a distribution key and confirm it by clicking OK. The line is distributed according to the criteria entered.
