Animal Record - Cattle
Cattle record contain data about individual animals. Data is kept for those animals that are individually tagged.
| Status |
The current status of the animal. Available statuses are:
- In Lactation
- Dry-Off
- Active
- Sick
- In Quarantine
- Disposed
You can also update calculation by clicking on button  You can recalculate status for one animal or for all animals.

| Animal ID |
8-character unique ID of the animal. This is entered when adding an animal and cannot be changed later. |
| Name |
The animal's name. |
| Sex |
The sex of the animal. |
| Breed |
The breed of the animal, selected from the editable list. |
| Purpose |
The purpose of the animal. Options are:
- Milk
- Meat
- Breeding
- Multipurpose - Milk
- Multipurpose - Meat
- Nursing

| FADN |
The FADN type of animal is filled in automatically according to the animal's sex, age and purpose. This information is then used in FADN reporting about animal movements. The type is updated at the start of each month to prevent duplicate entries in reports. |
| Location |
The holding where the animal is located. Set it when the animal is acquired. If the animal is moved to a different holding, this is updated automatically. |
| Date of birth |
The date of birth of the animal is filled in automatically if the animal was born at your farm. If the animal has been purchased, enter the date (dd.mm.yyyy). |
| Age Y/M/D |
The age of the animal is calculated automatically from its date of birth to today. |
| Herd |
Herd that animal was allocated to. Hers are added in Holding. |
| Inv. No. |
Inventory number of animal in case animal is added to Fixed Assets. |
