User Group Authorizations

Hierachy-wise the highest authorization level is user group authorizations.
Window for assigning user group authorizations is displayed in tree structure view. The type or level of authorizations assigned is represented by corresponding icons.
Newly created usergroup is by default without permissions. If the user is assigned to the usergroup, it inherits the permissions of the group. Permissions that are explicitly defined at the user will take precedence over the permissions set on usergroup and are therefore not inherited.

- Copy explicit permissions from selected user or group to editing user. Permissions acquired form groups will not be copied. Set editing user as member of same groups as source user or group to obtain identical permission settings.
Granted |
Granting or withdrawing permissions for current entity. If there are existing child entities that are not explicitly set, will also take effect. |
Acquired
|
Marked (checked) when permissions are inherited from the usergroup when user is assigned (add) to the usergroup. Not marked (unchecked) permissions; that are set at the user level.
|
Inherited |
Permissions that are inherited from a parent entity. |
