Automatic Database Archiving Settings

The General segment in the Service module can be set up so that it archives the database automatically after turning on the cash register.

Archiving can be managed with the following parameters:

  • Automatically archive database
    Turn on/off automatic database archiving after running the NP. This setting doesn't influence the archiving recommendation in the service module.
  • Database archiving frequency (days)
    Manage the frequency of database archiving after turning on the cash register. If the Cash register isn't turned on, no archiving is performed either.
  • Database archive folder
    Select a folder for the archive. If the space is left blank, the archive is in the default location (the folder Database in the program folder).


You can also start data archiving manually, regardless of the archiving frequency settings. When entering the service module, the program asks you whether you want to archive the database. By pressing OK, you start the archiving. You can cancel the archiving process by pressing the X button.
