Default quantity

Default Quantity

In the items master data, you can set the default quantity of an item or a mandatory entry of quantity when selecting an item at the cash register.

Default Quantity Setup

You can set the default quantity in Master data – Items – Default quantity. Enter the desired default quantity in the empty field. For example: Enter 1.00, 2.00, 2.50 and set the unit of measurement for the item. If the default quantity for an item is 2.00 kg, the quantity of 2 kg will automatically be displayed at the cash register for that item.

Mandatory Quantity Entry Setup

You can set a mandatory quantity entry for items by entering 0 in the empty field for Default quantity. 0 means that there is no default quantity and that the program will demand that you enter the quantity of the item manually before selling it.
