Add Lines of Operations

010383.gif

Here we only deal with adding lines of operation in technological procedure of production. The operation of adding lines of material, which is similar, is dealt with in the previous topic.

Specific sequence of work operations comprise an assembly procedure (specification). That is, standard time a specific production resource will be required and other data can be determined here.On the right is a taskbar containing the essential buttons:

Select the Operations tab in the Product Specification window to open a panel containing the following two tabs:

  • Data
  • Manufacture Time

Use the Data panel in order to edit lines, that is, add, modify, delete them or just view individual operations. You have to be assigned adequate authorizations to call up certain functions.

On the other hand, you can use the Manufacture Time panel to display additional information about operations. For a detailed treatment see follow-up.

Moreover, a list of operations comprising technological procedure of production is generated in the top section. In addition, data get updated in the Specification panel.

Here are displayed contents of the line you selected in the specification of operations above.

The middle section of window displays buttons from taskbar.

000001.gif Whenever an ID of work operation is marked as inactive in Items, it is colored red in lines of operations.

Top panel section contains a toolbar where you can set an alternate, line and item (plus enter or select description).

Alt. Enter or select an alternate of the selected line or a newly-entered line. Alternate 0 is set by default. You can set alternates from 1 to 255. By defining an alternate you create it for specification containing lines.

The currently selected active alternate is by default set for a newly-added line of material. Otherwise the default alternate 0 is used.

Line Displays a number of the selected line or of a newly-entered line. You can change it at will. Here is by default displayed the next consecutive number according to the settings in Administration Panel | Program Parameters | Specification. Or you can select it from a list.
Item Displays an operation ID. Enter or select it when adding a new line. From the lookup table you can select an item according to criteria such as ID, name or item type. Here are included items of type S. To set whether all items or only active ones will be displayed, check Select Lines Only among Active Items. It can be found in Settings | Program | Administration Panel | Settings | Program Parameters | Manufacturing | Specification | Default Values.

A message is returned if you leave the field empty.

Desc. Displays a name of the selected work operation. Having selected ID the name is displayed also. It is the same as name of item. You can change name or description of operation at will.

Bottom section displays a panel containing data from the selected line. By selecting a tab you can

When adding lines of specification, default values are entered to new lines. These default values are set in the Item Categories register of Specification panel. To set method for filling-in default values, set it in Administration Panel | Settings | Program Parameters | Manufacturing | Specifications | General Operations - Spec Lines box.
