Orders

The Orders tab enables you to create sales orders directly from the Service Order form. The tab is useful when you do not yet know whether the customer's returned goods will be repaired or not, or a preliminary invoice for service will be sent to the customer. 

WARNING

Orders tab is visible on the service order form, if the option Orders is enabled in the Service Order document type.

The data on the tabs changes when the order is created.

This tab allows you to create new or link existing sales orders.

 

Document type Select the document type from the drop-down menu that is going to be used to create an issue order
Create Doc.

By clicking this button, a new document is created in the Orders module with document type selected in the Document type field.

Link to document Select an existing sales order document from the menu

By clicking this button, the existing sales order from Orders module selected in Link to document field is linked and displayed in the tab. The order link is also recorded on the Links – Orders tab.

 

2. After order is created

After the order is created or linked the lines of the order are displayed.

Hint

After creating or linking an order this section is also identical to Sales Orders form's Lines tab. You can read more about this tab in the chapters Lines and Sales Order Values.

There are two buttons that are specific to orders linked to Service Order.

 (Warranty) By clicking this button, the Warranty form is opened, where validity of item's warranty can be checked.
 (Create Service WO) By clicking this button, the Create Service WO form is opened. By using this form, a work order to repair items in Service Order can be opened.
