Through the Screen

  • Put in your login code. In our case it's the number 1.
  • Press
  • You've successfully logged into the newPOS program. The user name will appear in the lower right corner of the title window (on the top of the screen). You can now begin your work.
  • NOTE! The login password is given out by an administrator. The administrator is the only one who can change it. If you forget it, only the administrator can resend the password. The administrator also sets the exit passcode. The default value is 999. If you put in the passcode 999 and press you will exit the program.

Through an External Device

  • You can log in through any installed external devices, such as an RF reader, MCR (magnetic card reader), fingerprint reader, bar code reader etc.
  • NOTE! This login method is more appropriate for busier businesses, because you avoid the manual input of login codes, input errors and others. The login code is assigned to the device you're using to log in, which is why the user has to keep the login device at hand, otherwise another user can access it in the cashier's name. Users have to be very cautious not to leave the device unattended. The LOGIN window won't close during this login method until the user logs in, which is why you can also log in manually using your login code, the same way as in the previous option. However, when logging in with an external device, the login code is usually much longer (for security), which could prove problematic and time consuming when logging in manually. New login codes for the external device can be set only by an authorized service provider in cooperation with the program's administrator.

Example: When an RF reader is installed on the PC register, simply put the login key on the RF reader.

  • At the appropriate distance the device will read the code from the login key.
  • You've successfully logged into newPOS, your user name appears in the lower right corner of the brown window (at the top of the screen) and you can start with sales or taking orders.

Example: When an MCR (magnetic card reader) is installed on the PC register.

  • Swipe the magnetic card through the appropriate slot.
  • The reader will read the magnetic code on the magnetic card.
  • You've successfully logged into newPOS, your user name appears in the lower right corner of the brown window (at the top of the screen) and you can start with sales or taking orders.
