First Use (SetUp Wizard)

After installation or activating the function in the service module, a First use setup wizard launches to guide you through the basic settings, including connection type and cash register settings. You can launch the setup wizard on an already working cash register (you need to be more careful here because of the already existing data in the cash register database).
 

In the first window choose the synchronization type:
- Datalab Hosting
This is meant for users whose central database is on the Datalab host server. You can connect the cash register to the host server with the following method (user name and password are required).
- Local Web Service
The local web service means that the server, where the central database is installed, has other web services installed, which can call the cash registers from within or outside of the local network.
- SQL Server
SQL Server connection over a Linked server connection between two or more databases.
